Features
INK ROLLER WITH QUALITY NBR RUBBER
NBR rubber is the perfect material for ink rollers. It is highly resistant to oils and chemicals, and it has some of the best properties for printmaking. For artists, these include its great flexibility, smooth surface, and extremely long lifespan. The material is also resistant to tearing and cracking for long-time use. Take for example NBR rubber in Flexo machines, which can withstand thousands of printmaking hours.
For at home linocut printmakers and relief printing artists, the NBR rubber is also popular due to how easy it is to clean. The rubber surface takes no damage from ink, as well as when cleaning the material. At the same time, the rubber binds colors perfectly, ensuring ink transfer without any effort.
CORE ON BEARINGS
Each roller runs on high-quality bearings in the metal frame that attaches to the solid wooden shaft. The bearings guarantee easy gliding of the ink over the printing surface during application. They also help to maintain the ink roller in the same position relative to the sides when printing.
SHAPED OAK HANDLE
We carefully design the shape of every printmaking ink roller handle to provide a comfortable, natural grip. Then, the handle is solid oak. Oak perfectly matches the material and stain of every one of our linocut presses. It ensures an elegant appearance, no matter where you display your lino press and lino roller together.
RUBBERIZED EDGE ON THE TOP SIDE
Never get surfaces or hands dirty when applying ink to the printmaking roller again! A non-slip rubber edge makes it easy to flip the roller upside down. The rubber ensures the ink roller doesn’t slip on surfaces. Meanwhile, the oak handle is in the perfect angle for lifting the hand tool again.
