Features
CENTERING LINES
The A5-sized Linocut Press has carefully laser-cut centering lines on the bottom plate of the press. This means even easier relief printing as you can quickly and easily place your matrix and paper in the absolute center of the plate.
The centering lines include a center cross, and also centering lines for the paper sizes. For relief printing, the lines come in A6 and A4 sizes.
TWO LEVERS FOR EACH PRESS SIZE
One lever really wasn’t enough. Now, you can be even more comfortable when relief printing with any size of our linocut presses. Two levers make it easy as can be to apply pressure by simply leaning in with both hands. It’s so smooth that even smaller children can apply the right pressure every time for the printing.
A5 FORMAT SIZE
The A5 Linocut Press is not only cute. It’s strong! What this press might lack in size, it makes up for in the pressure it can provide for your printmaking. And just like its larger brothers, the A5 remains popular with all of our customers in their reviews and messages. They praise especially how compact and easy it is to handle the A5, while the size also remains popular for woodcut printing, letterpress, plant pressing and similar. Working with this press is extremely easy, and suitable for both professional or beginner linocut printmaking.
FULL EDGE PRINT
For every linocut press, the wooden press plates are larger on the side by 1 cm more than the specific format. Thanks to this, it is extremely simple to insert paper, and it becomes possible to print all the way to the exact edge of the paper. The wooden pressing plates are 230 x 170 mm in size.
STABLE PRESSURE
Ritualis Linocut Press pressing plates have a total thickness of 48 mm. This guarantees the perfect amount of pressure across the entire printing surface, while the plates also have a cedar paint to match the warm color of the press, and look its best at any location.
ADJUSTABLE TILT
It is also possible to adjust the tilt of the top plate to ensure that it rests evenly on your matrix and paper when applying pressure to the print. Simply loosen the adjustments on the side to adjust the top plate into position, and tighten again to lock in place.
EXTREMELY DURABLE
Notice that the steel frame of all of our linocut presses is coated in a powder which is extremely resistant, and easy to clean. The construction features 5 mm thick flat steel bars, each extremely durable, while each A5 linocut press has been load-tested at 90 kg without a single bend occurring.
NON-SLIPPERY
Also see the rubber strips on the bottom of every press. These offer slip protection, and also protect work surfaces from scratches. It is also possible to securely bolt the linocut press to the work surface thanks to pre-drilled holes in the base of the machine.
GIFT
Finally, the felt we add to each press is free of charge for our customers. We select felt which is both strong, and the ideal thickness for applying pressure across the entire surface of the linocut press.
