Printmakers use the glass baren next to a press, or on its own for larger formats. It is compact and portable, needs no more than a corner of the desk — and because the glass is clear, you see the print take shape as you burnish.

Materials: Glass - colour pigment
Because each piece is 100% handmade, the colored pigment "swirl" inside is always unique. Glassmakers know to spiral the pigment so that the effect is similar everywhere.
Comfortable Handheld Grips
The glass printing baren fits into the palm of your hand, providing a natural and comfortable hold. There is a flat bottom to ensure stable placement on surfaces, and rounded edges for smooth movement over paper. The edges help to ensure the glass muller never gets stuck when printmaking, so you never worry about jamming again. Additionally, the top of the glass baren is perfect for printing more detailed parts. Simply turn the printmaking baren upside down, and you have an additional printing tool.

Our glass muller has a width on the bottom surface of approximately 10 cm / 4 inches. This makes it suitable for printmaking on both small and large areas.

Each glass baren weighs roughly 700 grams / 1.5 lb, which naturally is heavier than wooden, bamboo, and plastic printing barens. However, the heavier weight of the glass baren in fact makes printing easier. There is less force necessary to apply quick, even pressure across surfaces, and it has a smoother glide overall.

Der Glasbarren ist sehr schön und hochwertig verarbeitet, die Lieferung war in Ordnung. Ich gebe jedoch drei Sterne, da das Produkt nur 490 Gramm statt der angegebenen circa 700 Gramm wiegt und der Durchmesser 9 cm beträgt, obwohl circa 10 cm angegeben waren. Aufgrund der Produktangaben hatte ich mir den Glasreiber etwas größer vorgestellt. Schade, sonst wären es volle fünf Sterne geworden.
